The Buyers Group Process

While it is quicker to buy a single share in an existing fractionalized property, sometimes the property you want to share is not available in fractions... yet. DreamSlice can help you find a buyers’ group to purchase any property on the market, whole or fractionalized. Here is how the process works:

  1. Join a Buyers Group.
    • Browse our "Open Groups" list. If you find a group that match your interests, join.
    • If you don't find a pre-existing group, create a new group.
    • If you don't want to create a group, complete the Property Preferences form and request that we match you with other buyers to automatically form a group.
  2. Find a Whole Property with your group.
    • Add the property to your group list by using the "Save property" link on the property details page.
  3. Notify us when your group is complete and ready to make an offer on its chosen property.
    • As an individual within a buyers group, if you will be borrowing money, you should pre-qualify for financing through one of our preferred lending partners or lender of your choice.
    • We will contact the co-buyers, set up deposit accounts, draft tenancy-in-common and sharing agreements for the group, and negotiate the group's joint purchase agreement for the property.
    • When an offer has been accepted, we will open escrow, set up the desired level of management and other services, and ensure that all paperwork is in order to close escrow on time.
    • Upon the close of escrow, each buyer will receive their own deeded interest to their share of the property. All new owners will have successfully purchased their own fraction of a vacation home.
